Forge Learning is aware and understands the issue regarding privacy on the Internet and data protection as a result we will explain how we handle the information we receive through our website.

The technology we use collects information such as domains name, search engines used and keywords searched on and this information is collated to identify number of visits to our website and other such statistics for the purposes of improving our website and our marketing. This information will not be used for any other purposes.

However, you may wish to provide us with additional information to allow us to respond to your requests for further contact. Forge Learning will not provide this information to anyone else. Further, you will always be given the opportunity to say that you do not wish to receive further information via an ‘unsubscribe’ button at the end of all our marketing messages.

What information do we collect from you?

  • The name of your workplace

If the training/event/workshop content requires you to use and interact with sharp edge tools and/or campfires, and/or anything else perceived as potentially high risk, we will ask you to complete a medical information questionnaire

Why do we collect this information?

So we can be polite and call you by your name.

So we can contact you about your booking

So we can let you know about future events you may be interested in. We will ask you to confirm this is ok when we see you at our event. If you’d like to opt out of marketing e-mails, you can unsubscribe using the unsubscribe button at the end of any of our marketing e-mails.

Often your booking is made via your workplace and your event/course/workshop is paid for by them. We need to know who to send the invoice to.

We need to know if you have any medical issues/health problems which may impact on your involvement during the course/event/workshop. It is our responsibility to provide adequate First Aid provision, so our first aider needs to know if there is any existing medical issue which may impact on their treatment of you, should you have an accident whilst with us.

If you do have a major accident and require further help from paramedics/hospital, we will give your medical questionnaire directly to them quickly and efficiently without having to slow down your treatment.

Any medical information you have given us will only be used if needed during your attendance at our training/event/workshop. The form you complete will be destroyed after the duration of your training/event/workshop.

What information do we collect from you?

Our booking form requires you to tell us your name and give us some information about your previous experience and qualifications

During the booking process we will collect your name, e-mail address and workplace details.

If the training content requires you to use and interact with sharp edge tools and/or campfires and/or anything else potentially high risk, we will ask you to complete a medical information questionnaire.

We will ask you to complete an enrolment form which asks you for your name, e-mail address, address, phone numbers and work status (e.g. employed full time? Part time?)

Why do we collect this information?

We ask you to complete a booking form so we can ensure you are eligible to access the course you wish to book onto. All of our accredited courses have minimum entry requirements.

We collect information when we book you onto the course, we need it to be able to contact you with your course details, be polite and call you by the correct name and ensure your workplace has information it needs for you. We will invoice the workplace for your course fees, unless you are paying yourself.

We need to know if you have any medical issues/health problems which may impact on your involvement during the course. We ask you for your details via an enrolment form for the following reasons:

1) So we can use the information to enrol you onto the course you are undertaking with the awarding body, ITC First.
2) We can keep effective records of your training and progress, know where to send your certificate to, how to contact you during your course’s progress and where to come to for any workplace assessments (Forest School Leadership qualification only)

Who might we share this information with?

We have to share your registration information with;
